The Sportsman Channel and Safari Club International Foundation’s Sportsmen Against Hunger™ are partnering to launch a Hunt.Fish.Feed. Tour throughout 2008 and 2009. In an effort to bring awareness in the fight for hunger, The Sportsman Channel has selected the top U.S. cities whose population of homeless and poverty stricken individuals are the greatest averaging over 27,000 homeless people. Of these individuals, over 21% are considered chronically homeless according to the recent Study of Homelessness and Poverty at the Weignart Center Association in Los Angeles. The Sportsman Channel's Hunt.Fish.Feed. initiative connects true outdoorsmen to whom hunting is synonymous with harvesting. Launched in 2007, the Hunt.Fish.Feed. initiative has since served the local communities of New Orleans, LA, Milwaukee, WI and Washington, D.C., garnering recognition for responsible sportsmen who have given back to feed those who are less fortunate.
